Bryony Perkins is on a mission to put the purity back into pop music. She’s reclaiming the juicy chord progressions and catchy melodies that were stolen by the bad guys and refreshing them with her message of love and unity. With a plethora of electronic machines as back-drop for her raw vocals and direct lyrics, she serves up a plump dance floor groove with all the moves to accompany our great awakening here on planet earth. Expect a fun explosion of colour, depth and truth to uplift your heart and make you want to dance.

TECH RIDER

There are two performers on stage, Bryony who sings and takes up the stage space dancing and moving, and Aidan who stands behind her and works all the machinery. Bryony has a microphone and mic stand. Aidan has a DJ stand (approx 1 metre x 0.5 metres) where he sets up his machines (Elektron Octatrack, RTYM Drum Machine, 2 x synthesizers, Mixing Link pedal). Bryony's mic goes into the Octatrack through which vocal sound is mixed and effects added. This makes sound check or line check very efficient as their stage sound can be controlled "in house". They can just show up, set up, plug in, check levels/monitors and be ready to go.

What we require from the venue:

1 x Mic Stand (preferably round base but standard also fine)

1 x Dynamic Mic plugged into venue sound system with mic stand (they can manage without this but it enables Bryony to speak to the crowd in between songs if she feels like it)

2 x Power Outlets to plug their extension cables and gear

"Main in" to venue sound system (L and R via 2 x jack to jack cables)

2 x Stage Monitors

GIG HISTORY

Since its inception in 2020, Bryony has performed her solo show across the globe, including Camberwell Green Studios in London, Nature's House in Tennessee USA, The Somashala in Devon UK and multiple performances in West Wales UK where she is now based. She has initiated several livestream concerts, inviting international musicians to appear on her tracks. The most recent significant addition to the show is her collaboration with electronic musician and soundscape artist Aidan Kasta, with whom she is now excited to be producing her music and touring.

ARTIST BIO

Bryony has performed in Canada, France, Germany, Kosovo, and the UK as a front woman in numerous musical acts, spanning funk, folk, soul, gospel and pop, before coming out as a solo artist. After a home-schooled musical education from her sitar-playing father, she trained as a contemporary dancer and actress, so her performance style invites theatricality and a dynamic relationship with the audience involving surprise, connection and empowering participation. She has collaborated with Talvin Singh, Piers Faccini, Camille Bazbaz, Winston McAnuff and Punchdrunk to name a few. Her performances have taken her to stages such as the Royal Albert Hall, the Barbican, Salle Pleyel, The Southbank Centre, Glastonbury Festival and The Eden Project as well as smaller community events in natural settings and Royal gardens in the suburbs of Paris.

She enjoys the variety of life her artistic career has given her, and meeting people from all backgrounds. She pours this into song writing, movement, lighting and costume design on a day to day basis, revealing common threads that connect all of us humans beyond our differences.
